Cover and Monthly Spread
I’m guilty of being indecisive about what I want for my cover page. Well, who could blame me? There are so many artsy fall ideas to choose from! After a bunch of trial and error and stubborn last-minute changes, I finally finished my cover page.
To create this spread, I used some craft paper and added a cute fall-inspired drink at the center. And of course, to finish it off, I added a simple “October” lettering on top.
Moving on to the next spread. As you can see, this is somehow different from the usual “monthly spread”. Monthly layouts are typically created with two pages and a calendar but to be honest, I barely use my calendar and I think it’s just a waste of space. Hence, for this month, I thought it would be nice to experiment with a new layout and completely omit the calendar.
Seeing it now, I hope I have done this sooner. I would have saved a lot of my precious journal pages. A good journal ain’t cheap. (haha)
Weekly Spreads
Since I started creating one-spread layouts, I just can’t imagine myself going back to the usual two-page-spreads. This weekly design helps me conserve my journal pages plus it’s just the perfect amount of space that I need for my daily activities.
Since I only allot a page for the whole week, I use different styles or set-ups to make my spreads interesting and I promise, it doesn’t have to be complicated.
For example, if you want to bring more life to your spread, try alternating two different colors. This simple trick takes no time but it truly makes a huge difference!
More Weekly Spread Ideas
In this spread, I just tweaked the previous design to create a more structured look. To finish it off I added a sticker in the middle and there you go. If you want to add cozy aesthetics to your spreads, stickers are the way to go. It’s the perfect way to finish the design and it ties everything together.
For the last weekly spread, I created a monochromatic look. I want to focus more on neutral colors and I think it just makes this theme warm and cozy. Overall, this is my favorite weekly spread of the month.

Other Spread Ideas
Now that all the essential spreads are done it’s time to get creative with this month’s filler spreads. I call these”filler” because it varies from month-to-month. These are also not necessarily essential for my day-to-day activities however, these spreads add a unique character to my journal.

Brain Dump
If you don’t know what a brain dump is, it’s basically a spread where you can just write all your thoughts and ideas. This is one of my favorite spreads because this helps me empty my mind and just write without stress. If you haven’t made one, you should definitely give this a try!
October at a Glance
The last spread for this month is called “October at a Glance”. I started this last month and I think I’ll always have this for my future set-ups. This spread is my way of giving myself a monthly evaluation so I can further reflect on my actions and future goals.
If you are reading this, thank you for staying with me ’till the end. I know this month is not as lengthy and as elaborate as my previous months but I hope I was still able to give you some ideas for your bujo spreads. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out to me. I would love to hear from you. ‘Till next time!
Happy Planning!
