Summer Cover Page Ideas

Fruits

Since this is the season of bright colors, you can get creative with your spreads by choosing fruity themes. Bright-colored fruits such as pineapples, lemons, and oranges are perfect for the “summery” look.

If you want to add your personal twist to this theme, add little details on the side.

What is summer without watermelons? This fruit is extremely easy to doodle and it looks so beautiful as a cover page!

Set the trend by using other fruits such as peaches, cherries, and avocado. Play around with your design by adding your personal touch.

Desserts

Add some sweet treats to your theme this summer! Pastries are perfect for this concept. Get creative with different icing colors and cake designs. Anything is possible!

This cover is from my August 2019 Bullet Journal Theme. You can see more of my spread designs in this guide.

For sweet lovers, this is a dream come true. You can doodle different candy designs and have fun with colors.

Since the heat is on, this is the perfect time to get creative with ice cream doodles. Create different ice cream types, cones, sprinkles, and more!

Flowers

Add more color to summer with these gorgeous flower themes. Flowers are simple to recreate and make lovely cover page designs.

Be unique and use preserved flowers. Using real dried flowers add different textures to your theme.

If you are not into flowers, you can also use succulents and cacti.

Animals

Butterflies are currently the most popular theme in this category. This theme is famous for its flexibility. You can get creative with it by using different wing designs and colors. Plus, the outcome is truly magical. You can never go wrong with butterflies!

Get that tropical feel on your spreads by using birds and colorful insects.

You can also use different sea creatures such as whales and jellyfish. Just look at how adorable these are!

Sea and Seashells

If you want to bring the spirit of summer to your bullet journal then this is the way to go.

Use seashell doodles to create an ocean theme. Add different color combinations and play around with different shapes.

If you want something different give this a try. Add your own twist to the usual seashell design by incorporating other elements.

Go all out and bring that “under the sea” mood to your cover page.

You can also emphasize the beautiful waters by creating ocean waves.

I hope you got several ideas for your bullet journal cover page this summer. If you’re stuck and feeling a little overwhelmed, check my Bullet Journal for Beginners Guide to help you get started.

Regardless of which theme you use, don’t forget to add a personal touch to your design. Like I always say, in Bullet Journal, there are no rules. Have fun and express your creativity in your own way. Show your own artistic style and create something that you enjoy.

Happy Planning!
