Classic Summer Themes

Create with Coconuts

Coconuts and beaches scream summer like no other. This theme is perfect if you want to bring the summer dream to your journal.

If you want to add more, you can squeeze in your favorite “beach-inspired” doodles and add a pop of color.

To give a nice twist to your design you can also add a quote spread on the side.

Fresh Fruits for Summer

I love having a cold watermelon on a very hot summer afternoon. Even the thought of it makes me feel refreshed! (*haha*) Speaking of fruits, I decided to create a fruit theme for my July 2020 bullet journal. This is inspired by the delicious fruits kebab. Since I used basic shapes and colors, this spread is extremely easy to do and I’m sure you’ll love it too!

If you want to emphasize one fruit for your cover page, there are different ways to make your design simple and stunning at the same time.

One way of doing this is by creating a pattern. Play around with different shapes and sizes to make your cover page look more interesting!

You can also adjust this layout to suit your design. Use different fruits and color combinations to achieve the theme that you are going for.

Citrus fruits are the classic summer themes that will never fail. The bright orange and yellow colors will instantly bring the summer vibe to your journal!

Add Some Greens

Incorporating some greenery is a brilliant way of spicing up your summer bullet journal. Doodle dainty plants such as succulents to achieve an effortless summer look.

You can also play around with different color combinations if you want to add a different vibe to your design.

Create Something Different

Colors and Doodles

If you are tired of the classic summer themes, then maybe you should try to create something different this year. These cover page examples are not your usual summer aesthetics but they are definitely worth a try.

The floral doodles are not exclusive in spring. You can still add these fun floral designs to create your simple summer bullet journal theme. Try different color combinations and floral patterns to create your fresh summer spread.

Simply Beautiful

Creating a simple spread doesn’t mean that it will be bland and boring. It doesn’t take much to create something that is simply beautiful. Trust me, adding small doodles on the side is enough to make a huge difference.

If you want to add color to your spread, go for a monochromatic look. You can also include some stickers or washi tapes on the side to add some texture.

We tackled 17 Simple Summer Bullet Journal Themes and I hope you found the perfect one that fits your style. Regardless of what you choose, I’m sure it will always look amazing. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to send me a message, I would love to hear from you. Till next time!
